Pilar: Too Many Blooms

Bella Pilar illustrated the cover of Scholastic's newly released title, Too Many Blooms, by Catherine Daly. The book, intended for children ages 8 and up, is the first in the Petal Pushers series which follows four sisters - Delphinium, Rose, Aster and Poppy - on a string of adventures after their grandparents leave them and their scatterbrained parents in charge of their flower shop. Keep an eye out for other soon to be released titles in the series, also featuring Bella's whimsical illustrations.

Twelve Months of Fleur

Italian beauty retailer La Gardenia is celebrating the new year with twelve months of Fleur. Their 2011 desk calendar, illustrated by Bella Pilar, features the lovely Miss Fleur in a dozen of her favorite ensembles for 2011 and is a gift-with-purchase at participating La Gardenia stores.

Pilar Featured in Vogue Mexico

Bella Pilar is thrilled to be featured in the current issues of both Vogue Mexico and Vogue Latin America. The 4-page article includes an interview with Bella and a sampling of some of her recent and best-loved work. Also in the same issue is a whopping 20-page story on Vogue's Shopping Experience event which took place back in November. The event was held on trendy Masaryk Avenue, one of Mexico’s most luxurious neighborhoods, and featured Bella's illustrations prominently in it's advertising. Roumieu for HP Ink Amnesty

Graham Roumieu illustrated for Hewlett-Packard's Ink Amnesty campaign. His comical illustrations warn of the dangers of using third-party ink cartridges in HP printers. This illustration can be seen on HP's Facebook page and is the first in a series of four being released over the next few weeks.

Haworth for Blackout Blisters

Hennie Haworth is one of 40 artists participating in Blackout Blisters, the third annual exhibition for Print Club London. This year, artists were invited to contribute 40 signed silk-screened prints, each incorporating a glow-in-the-dark element in the design. The first night of the exhibition the venue will be in complete darkness, allowing the artwork to truly shine. Other participating artists include Mike Perry, Ben Eine, Jamie Reid, Stevie Gee and others. It runs from Friday, December 3rd until Sunday, December 5th. Signed silk-screened prints will be available for £40.

Magnet Artists for the Society of Illustrators 53

Magnet Reps is happy to announce that Graham Roumieu had an editorial series chosen to appear in the Society of Illustrators 53rd annual and exhibition.

Society of Illustrators is the premier showcase for illustrators and animators, featuring over 400 pieces of the most outstanding works created throughout the year. Open to artists worldwide, thousands of entries were considered by a a jury of professionals, which include renowned illustrators, art directors and designers.

Pilar's Papyrus Cards Go Couture

Project Runway alum, Rami Kashou, collaborated with Papyrus in creating this awesomely beautiful origami couture gown made entirely out of Papyrus greeting cards and paper goods. The event was part of Fashion's Night Out in Los Angeles, CA and if you look closely, you can spot several of Bella's cards woven in there!

Roumieu to Judge SI 53

Graham Roumieu was invited be a judge at the Society of Illustrators 53rd Annual Exhibition in New York City. The goal of the 53rd annual is to recognize the highest standard of illustration and to excite and inspire excellence in future work. He is honored to be judging the Sequential/Series category alongside some of the most talented and distinguished illustrators and art directors in America.

Pilar for Vogue Mexico's Shopping Experience

Bella Pilar illustrated for Vogue Mexico's Shopping Experience in Polanco, Mexico City. The one-day shopping event takes place on Masaryk Avenue, one of Mexico's most luxurious neighborhoods. Guests are invited to explore the area's chic boutiques, with participating retailers offering exclusive promotions and activities. It takes place on Thursday, November 11th, 2010.

Bella's fashionable femmes can be seen in advertorials in the Mexican editions of Vogue, Glamour and AD magazine, as well as on various promotional materials, including these cute t-shirts and tote bags. Haworth for Clover

Hennie Haworth illustrated for a recently launched competition from Clover Butter and Hunter Wellies. Every Sunday afternoon between now and the end of February, Clover will be giving away a set of Hunter Wellies for the entire family. The competition is part of a new initiative promoting healthier lifestyles and encourages families to stay in shape by getting out and going for a walk together.

Roumieu: Raising Readers

Graham Roumieu recently partnered with branding and design agency, Viva & Co, and North America's premiere supplier of high-quality paper, Domtar Distribution Group, for a campaign promoting their HannoArt papers, while also supporting childhood literacy. For the campaign, Graham and fellow illustrators, Chris Silas Neal and Edel Rodriguez, were each asked to illustrate a poster responding to phrases about the importance of words, their meaning and reading in general.

The limited-edition posters, printed on HannoArt paper, are available through Viva & Co's sister company, whigby.com. All revenue collected from the sale of the posters will be donated to Raising Readers, a Canadian non-profit childhood literacy group. Through their programs in Ontario’s public schools and libraries, Raising Readers’ mission is to provide enthusiasm, knowledge and the right environment to stimulate and sustain a young child’s interest in becoming a reader for life.

Haworth: The Truth About My Name

Hennie Haworth illustrated for Klutz Books' recently released title, The Truth About My Name and What It Reveals About Me. The cover features dozens of girls' names, each uniquely hand-lettered by Hennie. Her bright, youthful type and sweet doodles continue throughout the book, which includes a variety of games and quizzes intended to help kids find out the hidden meaning behind their name in a fun, lighthearted way.

Haworth's Cupboard Love

Hennie Haworth illustrated for London-based company, Cupboard Love. Her playful illustrations can be seen on the company's homepage and feature their eclectic mix of specialty children's items. The collection includes brightly colored wellies, comfy woolen blankets and a selection of clothing and toys that are sure to spark imaginations and inspire.

Hennie also illustrated a brochure promoting their Cupboard Love Tea Parties where a Cupboard Love rep comes to your home and hosts a tea party for you and your guests, while you browse new products and enjoy complimentary French treats and Earl Grey tea, all served in beautiful vintage china cups, saucers and cake stands.

Pilar's Girly Girls for Studio E

Bella Pilar's debut line of fabric is now available from Studio E as part of their Winter 2010 line. The appropriately named Girly Girl collection consists of eighteen 100% cotton fabrics, including tosses, ditsy prints, washes and a great panel repeat.

Visit the Studio E website to download their free Glamour Girls quilting project, using fabrics exclusively from the Girly Girl collection. The collection is available at most fabric stores and online at River City Quilts.
