♊️ Gemini season is here - Art by Eleanor Grosch ♊️
"Expressive and quick-witted, Gemini represents two different personalities in one and you will never be sure which one you will face. They are sociable, communicative and ready for fun, with a tendency to suddenly get serious, thoughtful and restless. They are fascinated with the world itself, extremely curious, with a constant feeling that there is not enough time to experience everything they want to see."

The long-awaited Whiled puzzle collaboration with Hye Jin Chung has been released! Swipe through to see the “Sister Sun & Brother Moon”.
“Relax your gaze, and let your mind travel to a hot summer night in the mountains of Korea where an evil tiger is on the prowl. Depicting a leafy green forest full of mystery and malice, Korean illustrator Hye Jin Chung brings you along for a puzzling adventure.
To set the mood, imagine this Korean folk painting ritual Hye Jin describes: sitting on a wooden floor, spreading out the rice paper and pouring the ink, squeezing paints out onto the palette...as the smell of hot tea mingles with sounds of the Gayageum (Korean zither/harp), you forget your worldly thoughts and soothe yourself…"

“Happy Earth Day to all Earthians! Staying kind to nature is no longer an option, it's our duty! With the rise of technology we tend to collect so much of old electronic devises and often we have no clue how to properly recycle them. Luckily there are organizations like ecoATM who will take care of recycling for you - all you need to do is to find a recycling kiosk in your area.”
ELEANOR GROSCH: UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN
Young Innovator Program
Here is another series for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Institute for Genomic Biology social media campaign “Young Innovator Program" - illustrated by Eleanor Grosch - This series’ Institute of Genomic Biology innovator is Dr. Yongbeom Seo.
"Yongbeom Seo is a former postdoctoral research fellow at Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology. He currently is a senior chemist in the Corporate Research Materials Laboratory (CRML) at 3M. His work involves inventing new fabricating techniques and working with his business colleagues to commercialize the same. During his time at the University of Illinois, he worked with Hyunjoon Kong and invented hollow polymer microparticles that contain manganese oxide nanosheets, which can convert hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen. The generated oxygen gas subsequently increases the pressure inside the particles, similar to filling a balloon with air. Seo used this technology to release anti-inflammatory drugs and chemicals such as thrombin, which promotes blood clotting, in a controlled manner over time."
